A.) The first one is the Trolley Program. What’s your answer to this one? A detailed, thoughtful paragraph is fine. This video is a fun rendition of this famous utilitarian dilemma. Can you look up utilitarianism? There are many Trolley Problem programs, but this one looks especially nicely done.
B.) Write a thoughtful reaction to each of the six videos left under.
D.) Logical Fallacies. Look them up and read over a bunch. Write about two of them. Purdue University Owl is good here, but there are many websites and Youtube programs with logical fallacies – one of them, for example, is the either/or scenario. People often set things up as if there are only two choices
E). There are some new or ancient ideas/techniques/practices that improve your mind and body. If something is healthy, I’m sure it makes us more relaxed and able to think more clearly. Everyone knows that stress and anxiety and related stuff can affect the way we think, even causing very bad decisions (road rage is just one of many). Review and look over the following, but Comment on just One of these: Positive Psychology; Nature Deficit Disorder; Plant-based Diet (a few programs on Netflix, such as Game Changers, as well as Forks Over Knives, and others); Yoga; Meditation; Buddhist Psychology; Evolutionary Psychology… What do you think? Can this thing or idea or system help us and and how so?
